On March 30th, 2026, Dr. James Downar presented the results of a program of research implementing the Hospital One-year Mortality Risk (HOMR) tool to hospitals across Ontario, Canada. The team evaluated if it improves identification of unmet needs and the end-of-life care provided to patients with elevated risk of mortality.
